About Us
At Bay Credit Repair our mission is to help those who are looking to improve a blemish on their credit which is currently impeding them from purchasing a home, renting an apartment or qualifying for any other large purchase or life event where your credit is checked. After taking private clients only for a number of years, we are now a business that will be taking applications from the public to help mend people’s credit scores.
Some History
The Fair Credit Reporting Act, passed in 1970, made a regulated system in the United States regarding what information would be collected, what could be reported and for how long, and how consumers could obtain copies of their credit reports. The FICO score was first introduced in 1989 by FICO, then called Fair, Isaac, and Company. The FICO model is used by the vast majority of banks and credit grantors, and is based on consumer credit files of the three national credit bureaus: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
